SRT4 or Eclipse GT

A friend of mine has the new Eclipse GT's, I doesn't think that a SRT-4 would put up any challenge to him, what do you guys think?

i think you underestimate how fast srt-4's are. those eclipses may make 260hp but they weigh like 3500lbs. the eclipses are no slouch and i think it'd be a good race, but i wouldn't be surprised if the SRT won though.

best time i've seen for an eclipse 0-60 5.8 1/4 14.4

Wow, I didn't think the Eclipses were even that fast. The SRT-4 with anyone who knows how to drive at all will win.

i really like the new eclipse gt's but i think the cheaper one's look like shit....anyways i actually read those exact times on an eclipse too around mid 14's stock 1320. and on the same site i read a bone stock '04 srt4 runs a 13'9-14'1 and idk if anyone knows but the '04 are actually faster than the '03's ('03 srt4 - 215hp, '04 srt - 225hp) so always ask if someone is talkin about there srt if its an '03 just lettin yall know so u can keep that in mind.

the difference is barely 15whp. but yes the 04's are faster. i've been seeing the new eclipse run mid 14's too but when i first saw them tested, they were running low 14's. just like the SRT-4 it depends on the driver cause i saw alot of 04s including the ACR package running 14.5-14.6 atleast 3 times in mags too.

Thanks, I was just wondering because my friend is one of those guys who act like their car is the fastest around... and its stock. And he's always talkin sh!t because I like srt-4's.

I believe the '04+ have LSD too.

if they eclipse was lighter and rwd, it would be alot more competitive, but its not.
Didnt they have a ralliart version at an auto show recently? turbo and awd? i dunno if they are any plans for production, but its probably 4k pounds

if somehow u can find a combination of a good driver and a stock srt4 then the srt4 should win.but those things are so hard to launch. they are lighter and put out the same whp and more tq.
