I need help. Ok I was in a hury and made a stupid error. Changing battery I hooked it up backwards. Only for a sec. Im sure keys were in my pocket so power should of been off. the problem is I have to pull the coil wire to turn off the car and with the key off the sensor lights in my dash stay on , the radio turns off and it kills power to the electric fan but engine stays running. so i pull coil wire. Its almost like the car is hot wired. Anyone have an idea what might have shorted to cause this.

Re: 1991 190E, Heater and Cant turn car off
The last time I saw someone hook a battery up wrong it was in a 560sl. It took out the starter, pushbutton a/c control panel, fuel computer, and a lot of other things I can't remember. He ended up with over a 2k repair bill.

I guess I got lucky. The car runs ok but I have to use starting fluid when the car is cold and the abs light stays on all the time. When I turn the key off it kills some of the power but like I said the car stays running and the dummy lights in the dash stay on like the car is being hotwired. Could it be a relay maybe or the computor box maybe??????
