Tranny shift problems
So I just changed my tranny filter/fluid today and am having some problems. When I push hard on the accellerator the shifting takes really long. It is like th tranny has to leap to get to the next gear. It feels as if I am pulling 8000 lbs behind my truck while I am floring it. The truck has 110,000 miles on it. If anyone knows why it has such hard time shifting when the pettle is pressed hard let me know.
Also I wanted to know exactly how much fluid the tranny takes. My book said 5 quarts, can someone else please verify that that is right for a 5.3liter 2000 z71??? |

Re: Tranny shift problems
It mainly depends on which tranny pan you have, as there are 2

Re: Tranny shift problems
Are you sure that the filter is installed correctly. There is a seal where the tube goes thru and if it is missing or not installed right, the pressure will not be right. This will cause it not to shift right.
