exaust size?

can anyone tell me what size the exaust pipe on a 2000 le 5 speed is?.., i've heard it was 2", then i heard it was 2 1/4", so i dont know...i'm confused..

You should have 2 1/4" piping. Neons have very good flowing exhausts from the factory.

2 ¼ for the baseline neon (All except R/T, ACR and SRT-4)
2½ for the R/T neon model

Nope even the R/T's are 2.25". And I was wrong earlier neon_guy, you have 2" piping.

Sorry! I was basing my number on the 2¼ pipe of the neon.. I know that mine is .25 more than baseline neon. You're right das2123!

oh, ok..so is it worth doing cat back..2.25"? much improvements to be made, or just a waste of money?

Sorry for the late reply but I just had my new BABY BOY on Monday!!!!!

Anyway, you will be wasting your money upgrading the exhaust until maybe you are boosted or putting down some serious HP.
