Camaro Differential Noises
Hi Guys(and Gals), I've got a problem that's been buggin me for some time. My second love is a 2000 Camaro Z28 automatic 70K with differential noise problems. Problems: 1.)humming noise at all speeds espically at high sppeeds. It's not the tires. 2.)Clicking noise as I go around corners. The noise increases and decreases with speed. The diff lube was change along with that special additive but it didnt help that much. It's a Torsen 10 bolt 3.23.

Re: Camaro Differential Noises
your rearend is toast, your going to need a rebuild. my recomendation is to go with a MOSER 12bolt. a bit expensive, but worth it.

Re: Camaro Differential Noises
Probably have a chipped ring gear tooth. Torsens don't wear out as there is no clutches and it most likely isn't a bearing as they would make noise at take off but then go away as you reach highway speed not get worse.
