86 RX7 GXL 4 sale (classic)

hey,
I have a 1986 RX7 GXL for sale in the midwest region. The car has been stored winters and this is the first winter it has been driven, and has not been much of a winter. There is no rust and the body is in excellent condition. The body and interior was completely restored, along with an engine and tranny rebuild. It is a 5 speed tranny. There are about 2,500 miles on the rebuily engine, tranny and body. Everything was rebuilt at around 152,000. The only thing I've ever done to this car is put a CD player in it. It is completely stock, inside and out. This car runs great. There are a couple little minor things that you might want to work on. The antenna does not work, I have the replacement motor for it in my garage, I just never got around to it. The A/C does not work, I am not sure why. That is pretty much it, this is a great car in great shape for someone to mod or do what ever they feel like with it. I am asking $4000 OBO SEND ME AN OFFER, all will be considered. If you need any more info, just email [email protected]. THE TRIM MISSING IN THE PIC WAS REPLACED

$4000 OBO email for pics and more info

Re: 86 RX7 GXL 4 sale (classic)

My dad had an 86 back around 97-98. It was a package that ive never seen on any other one it had leather seats, had a really awesme gold colored paint job with matching wheels, 218k when he bought it and 240+ when he sold it which i wish he never even did and i didnt even know about until i got back home. but the coolest thing was the previous owner had put an aftermarket suspension in and a black roll bar. man talk about a car that just drove like none other. i love the FC's it's too bad so many ofthem out here are just rusted and beat to crap

SO buy a couple rusted beat to crap FC's and start changing body panels and doing a bit of welding to take care of the rust.

Then Rhyno coat the underside of the car preventing anymore rust fom forming.

That way you have no issues with rust.

And you learn a lot about the body/chassis and how everything comes together.

That's what I'd do...

I found 2 non running. making them into 1 running TII Swap.
Changin over some body parts, little dents and dings I am working out, then for the final bit of body work its off to the Body shop for the final touches.'

It works and is realitivly cheap.
