1986 toyota supra

the engine will turn over but have no fire ,how do i check to see if my coil and igniter are working? thanks for your help!!

1. Buy a Haynes or Chiltons manual.

2. Open manual.

3. Read manual.

4. Follow instructions.

That is my standard answer. Threads like this usually end up with a whole string of questions. First someone tells you how to check the coil. You check it. The car still doesn't run. You ask the next question. We tell you how to check it. Once again the car doesn't run. It goes on and on and on. You can save yourself a lot of time by simply getting a manual and following the troubleshooting procedures. They are only $10. After you have run out of things to check then come back here. Post specifically what the problem is, what you have done to check it, and the results of those checks. The more details the better.
