Unhappy Honda Prelude idle problem?

The car starts up find and idles fine when ur stopped but when ur driving and u put it in nutrel it goes up to 3000 rpm's tile u stop.????? and also when i stop its like my fans keep running alittle big longer.. and makes a weird noise when it is stoped and ideling after i drove it.. fine to i drive in its a 2.2 motor i was told it was the idle sensor? if u think so where is it located on the car?

check your throttle body i had prelude and before i sold it i fixed that issue. the tps can be tha problem. they say you shouldn't adjust it though but you can. adjusting the tps which is the throttle postion sensor should be a last resort. first you should see if the the throttle plate closes all the way which it didn't on my car and it let air seep through causing the car not to idle correctly or idle down when coming to stop.
