I have a 1992 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight. My ignition switch went out and I had to replace it. Now the car will not start at all. The switch turns over and all the lights come on but when I try to crank it, it acts like it is out of gear. It was in the correct gear, but it still will not crank. Does anyone have any suggestions about what I should do to try and fix this problem? I really need the help.

Cut down the font size first. You mean the engine doesn't turn over, does a security lite on the dash stay on, this can be a passkey problem if you have the chip key, wiring to and from the ign switch to prndl sensor to the starter, a blown master fuse also. This need to be traced down with on site help. Was the ign sitch or the key cyl repalced, ots of info missing here.
