Complete: EK Civic. Put this in your martini.

This was a quickie build because my red EG needed a friend. Color is TS-28 Olive drab, with TS-13 airbrushed over it. I'm spoiled for Cobra Colors, Tamiya lacquer doesn't polish nearly as easily! The color and the red seats make me think of an olive with pimento... The wheels are some resin cast Mugen RNRs that I got from ImolaEK who got them from someone else (I forget who, sorry, they're great though!). Brakes are some XS tuning parts I've had in my parts box, I didn't drill the rotors because dimpled is better that cross drilled... or something. The rest of it, surprisingly enough, box stock. Weird. What was I thinking?? I'm posting it as complete, though I may add some decals and do a little touch up on it, but I'm pretty much done working on it as I'm shifting gears to new (and old) projects. Enjoy?

A couple with it's new buddy:

WTF

I'm shaken but not stirred

Hmmm...interesting color combo that I'd never have thought of.

I guess I'll drink to that!

Nice work.

Wow I never thought olive drab could look so good Will on a Honda, but you proved me wrong. Great work! Glad to see yours and Joeham's Hondas...

Will it's sweet! It reminds me of this EK I saw last week at a local car show:

Sweet build, compliments the EG proper! I would suggest making the side skirts match the lip though for a more balanced look, either all green or all black, man that would set it off!!!I have thought about this color combo since I have not seen a model with it yet but I have seen some Honta Tuning features with these colors and It looks just as nice in 1/24th as 1:1, looks like you beat me to it!

^^I disagree with that statement though^^ x-drilled work better for the street but this is not intended to steer the thread off topic so back to the car

That reminds me of a loooong thread I read off honda-tech a long time ago as in debate which one is better, drill or not. The thread got really techanical in the end and the conclusion is on the street... the different is insignificant and most people getting drilled because of the cosmetic reason.

Green civic looks great! I would have paint (or cf the front lip) to go with the black side shirt (or paint the side shirt green too!) either way, both civic looks great!

Great work on the two cars...but how about some panel lines? Would really make them look even more realistic with that fantastic background.

Is the soda machine scratch built or a kit?

Great photo skills

Looks nice and clean. Your polishing skills are getting better with each build.

What's up with the Cali tag on the back and the Japanese tag on the front? Since it's LHD I think a Cali tag would be fitting on the front too.

Americans do that sometimes, legal tags in the back, "JDM" tag in the front. just good old fashioned rice

you oughtta run your scalpel down the side of the EG to synthesize riceboys getting keyed. the polishing is almost a little too good for street driven civics, looks really nice!
