Police Interceptor Package..what size engine?
What size engine does the Police Interceptor Crown Vic have? Is it a 5.4L?? I know someone who is with the fire department and has a Crown Vic. I detailed it and I remember 5.4L on the engine cover. (I think thats the motor it has). What motors are currently in the Crown Vic production models? How much hp does the PI engine put out?

all crown vics and grand marquis have the 4.6L v8 except for 1991 and older the police interceptor has the same engine as the regular model with i beleave a slight differnce in computer tuning not sure though

1991 and older they had the 5.0 and 5.4 liter but most of the PI cars had the 5.0.

1970's thru and including 1991 all had the 302/351s (5.0/5.8L) Small Block Ford engines. Which varied by year.
Since 1992, ALL Crown Vics, Grand Marquis, and Marauders have had the 4.6L "Modular" Ford V-8 engine. All except the Marauder are 2V engines. The Lincoln Town Car had the 4.6L beginning in 1991, one year earlier than any other Ford vehicle.
