Headlights and radio won't work properly
I keep burning out headlights?? At one point my headlights didn't work at all and I replaced the headlight switch. After the switch repalcement the light worked for about a month. Now the lights tend to flicker at ramdom and the preset stations in my radio have to be continously reloaded.
I am under the impression it could be a faulty ground, can anyone tell me exactly what ground wires to check??? Thanks |

Re: Headlights and radio won't work properly
ALL of them! It could be anything. You'll always have these little electrical 'quirks'-and someone's always saying, "it could be a ground."
What I'd really check is the battery/alternator. I got a new battery from Sears for $100-and an alternator from a junkyard for $65. (Sounds like the voltage regulator inside the alt. is going bad. Could be drawing too much juice for the lights, which also effects the battery level for holding your presets.) I suppose this beast has a voltmeter inside it...does it work? (Mine never worked.) |
