Help With Carbon Fiber Hood???

Ok I just got my badass kit and carbonfiber hood in from aerotrends today. The kit looks awsome, the hood looks cool to but there are a couple of scratches, no big deal i can buff those out. Then my bodyshop took a closer look at it. They said that there are a lot of "DA" marks around the hood from when they made it. I took it out into the sun, and it looked like there was a small haze underneith the glass coating. I called aerotrends and they don't know much about installing it so I am asking you guys: Do you sand down and re-clear coat over it? Aerotrends says there is an initial gel coat on there for shipping. Please help so I can either send the hood back and get another one, or pay to have my bodyshop fix it.
Thanks again
~Chris

I would say that you should not have to sand it down and put another clear coat on it. If this haze won't wax off or something you might want to think about sending it back.

Hey. Usually haze like that is developed in the curing stage of the carbon fiber. If you decide to sand, don't try to sand out the haze because it most likely runs deep and you'll end up sanding into the fiber. I offer no suggestions on what to do, just letting you know that the haze is most likely there to stay.
