Angry SParkin Problems

Soo im about to sell my eclipse. (95 n/t 5speed) And i took off my header to have a buddy of mine powder coat it at his shop. And a friend of mine says lets de grease upder your hood and wash it down. So im like why not. And we did that WITHOUT the header on. And i think i got water in my exhaust ports and the valves might or droped it into my pistons. So i take out the plugs (since it wont start at this point) and check them and they are drenched. Then I buy new plugs let the car sit over night plugless os it can dry. and Then try the new ones, nothing still drenched. Some rubber tube, a seringe, and a shop vac later i think i get all the liquid out that now could consist of water/degreaser/ether/gas. Then i throw in the new plugs and and try and nothing, but the plugs come out clean. Then i keep the plugs connected but lay them on my engine and see that only the outside 2 are even throwing a spark. I had my coil checked at autozone 1 store said the primary might be bad, but the secondary is fine, and the other store said it was all in range. So the question of the day is.... what would make just the outside 2 plugs (number 1, and 4) spark but not 2 and 3? Should I be looking into a new coil? computer? wires? what would cause this?? throw me a hint.

Re: SParkin Problems

First off, why the hell did you wash your hood without something over the exhuast ports? Were you just on a mission to fuck something up?

I would maybe take a blowdryer to those spark plug holes, just to make sure you got all the shit out of there. I would also recommend an oil change seeing how theres a good chance some of the water/degreaser made its way past the rings and down into the crankcase. I doubt your ignition system happened to take a shit at the same time as you got a bunch of water into the engine, I'd concetrate on getting that shit taken care of first. Again, another reason not to trust that shitty diagnostic equipment.

Re: SParkin Problems

I'd say coil or if something else shorted then you could have messed up the ecu as well.
