GMC ... car?

just a quick thought to you chevy and gmc people out there. GMC has always mainly been about trucks. but should gmc invest in a rally style car prototype? ( rally racing has been the fasted growing in popularity for the past 4 years) i just figured ild ask, because i thought that would be cool if GMC could drop a nice motor and a brauny look in a car that they have done so well with in thier trucks, ild buy it ( this could be because i liked how stout the amc eagle looked back in the day, and it was a car, that handled off road really well).

The problem here is brand identification.

GM has taken many years to build up GMC as a truck only brand, so buyers know what they are getting. To make a GMC car would only confuse the issue and likely steal sales from other GM brands.
