89 bonneville problems

i have a 89 bonneville it has had a problem with stalling for a few months now but yesterday i started it and it ran for about 5 mins idled high for about 1 second then stalled and wouldnt start back up. a few hours later i tried to start it and it started and ran for about 5 mins again and then idled up for about 1 second and stalled again. i changed my plugs and air filter but it did no good. anyone got any ideas????????

Basics here, when it won't start do you have spark and fuel pressure?

im not sure i havent checked. what would be the best way to check and what would be some of the things that would cause my car to act this way?
