Distributor?

hey guys well i need help...so im sitting at a red light and some guy in a mustang with this but ass ugly chick pulls up next to me and starts reving his engine...so at green of course i show him some american muscle and go for it...he pulls away untill about 35 wich in my car takes about 1 - 2 seconds top and then when my car hits 35 the other 2 barrels in the carb kick on and im gone.. doing my signature wave out of my window as i smoke him. when i get home i see some smoke under my hood so i pop her up and take a look the cap for my power steering fluid has somehow popted off and landed onto my headers. i let it cool down then get a hammer and a metal rod and beggin banging away i get it off the headers and put it back into its place. go to crack up the car and let it burn off the rest of the plastic...and she want turn over? im guessing its the distributor but how is this? can you just burn one out and not know it till you try and crank up again? thanks for the help

oops almost forgot what happens when i turn her over is she wines but doesnt give me any fire at all..Distributor is brand new though maybe a week old.

Re: Distributor?

that is really odd. Do a quick check make sure your getting fuel and spark, then come back and let us know if your getting both of those. If your not getting spark then just follow it back, check for power at each point, and find out where it's going but not leaving. Good luck!

Re: Distributor?

Before you pull the distributor out, test the coil and see if thats generating enough spark.
