Re: 3100/ 1996
yes frekey you can clean those injectors, but if they are original 96' they may just need to be replaced. What makes you think they are dirty?

Re: 3100/ 1996
Try some Lucas Oil injector cleaner. Has the PVC valve been ever been changed?
Air filter recently? Plugs and wires ? Their are several things that would make you car feel boggy, esspecially since your car is 10 years old. I'd try those I mentioned and it 'should' get better performance.

Re: 3100/ 1996
i used many different types of cleaner but never lucas. i recently put in bosch platnum 4's which made the engine run much smoother but still boggy. thats why i figured maybe the injectors are filthy. and as for the pcv valve; i am constantly cleaning off a mysterious white sludge. i dont know what it is but im sure its not good.

Re: 3100/ 1996
bosch platnums are not really a good plug for GA's. They tend to burn up fast.
Ya the white stuff would probley be moisture, a little is norm from short trips.

Re: 3100/ 1996
the Ac delco Iridiums are the best I've seen in years, and they seem to last longer than regular Ac D.
Those platnums I'm not sure of, havnt seen or tried them. They are probley really expensive because platnum is high right now. Well chances are if you hav that white stuff on your oil cap and on the PVC I'd say you hav an internal leak. The intake or head gaskets may be blown and thats why you hav No power(performance). BTW hav you checked the dip stick? Does it hav the white(chocolate colourd) stuff too? I'd take care of the leak if thats what it is, if coolants in the oil it'll ruin your motor quick! Due to inadaquate lubrcation. If you arent able to find the leak, or fix it, I'd take it somewhere to get fixed sooooon! ASAP!

Re: 3100/ 1996
thanks. i never saw anything on the stick cause i recently changed the oil. i may consider just swaping the 3100 for the 3400. seems pretty easy! the 3100 got like 330 000 km any how. its my first car so you know i drove it like i stole it and its still kickin so i cant complain.
