Stock Market Game.

Hello all,
Im 15, and at my school we're playing "the stock market game". I get to choose 5 stocks, and i record their fluctiation/price. This game ends in May, and I'm hoping you guys can help w/ some stocks you believe will go up (I know its hard to predict). I'm thinking Nissan, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Toyota, but I'm just not 100% sure yet. Any help/ advice will be greatly appreciated.

http://www.stocksquest.com has a great program (free too) that we used in my AP Gov class earlier this year. All the players get $100,000 fake dollars, and can invest them any way they see fit; whoever makes the most at the end wins. You can play individually, or if someone here was interested enough, you can set up a group, and others can join for some friendly AF competition...

Hmmm, sounds like fun. anyways, I bought ford, disney, Scotts, and toyota. all are losing $$ right now except FORD. (we started w/ $50K)

I have real money in these stocks. Though some of the big box corporations mentioned before might be huge and one day rule the world, they are not the best stocks to buy.

Go with LCA-Vision, Delta Petroleum, China Netcom, Univision Communications, and last but not least - though there is some troubling news about them - Sony.

YES, i was thinking sony too, untill my buddy said thats a horrible chice. (but he didnt say why). Update: disney & Toyota are the only 2 I'm losing $ on right now. Soon to be purchased: Google & maybe SONY.

I've own a couple of stocks. Jones Soda would be an interesting one to throw in there. From what I've been reading their expected to be around for a while and be the "big" small soda company. I'm contemplating tossing a couple bucks into this one in a few months after I watch it for a bit. I would actually avoid Google, even though it is for fun. I think when it go downs it's gonna tank fairly low.

Dude.. pull your money out of Ford. They just announced they're closing 12 factories, and laying off 30,000 employees. Besides, the big 3 American car companies have been doing horribly the last couple of years.

I was, but they keep going up. But SCOTTS is doing awesome. up almost $2.50 a share right now. (*knock on wood*)
