grand am hesitation

my 92 grand am 2.3 ohc hesitates when i let it sit for any period of time over 20 min. it only does it when i am goimg slow. it goes away in 20 sec. but its very anoying
Please help

check your timming. or could be battery cables or plugs not connecting right.
