'87 - Fuel Gauge Wire

Hey,

Just a simple question - I am reparing my cluster, and omitting story, I need to know where the fuel sender wire enters the car, or the easiest place to reach it, so I can make a splice for it. I have some schematics, but no diagrams or images of where it actually enters the vehicle. I know the wire is supposed to be purple

Any help? Thanks

Re: '87 - Fuel Gauge Wire

not exactly sure if the 87 is similar to the 89, but i have found the wires enter the vehicle in the very front part of the trunk. or in the trunk, right behind the rear seats you will see a grommit where it mates to the metal. its only a small little ground wire and a small 4-6 wire plug, havent had the time to look at it and study it if you know what i mean.

Re: '87 - Fuel Gauge Wire

Found it. Ran my wire, and cut and spliced the ground locally, now my gauge works perfectly.

Thanks!
