Type of Bulb for Interior Map/Dome Light?

You'd think, in the 21-st century, with the power of the telephone, the Internet, and Google, I could find the answer to this question on my own?

1. 1997 GPGT. What type of bulb replaces the FRONT interior map lights - the two in the middle of the ceiling? 194 bulbs replace the license plate light. I've narrowed down the choices to 211-2, or 561 (I think - some say they're both the same).
2. Also, it appears that my license plate lamp assembly doesn't work. New 194s don't light. Anyone replaced one of those before? The wires look like they go into the rear bumper and hook up with the tail lights.

If I have my way, the next ice age will come before a dealer touches my car for something I could do myself. Any assistance in this endeavor will be much appreciated!

I'm quite sure the lamps are AC Delco L212-2 but replacements labeled 212-2 should work.
