Crashed 71 Nova-Pictures

Ok everyone, here's some pictures of what's left of my beautiful nova. She was four door, but she was a nice one. Another driver fell asleep at the wheel and drifted into my lane, hit me head on, I didn't have enough time to react, as you can see. This is the car that is being parted out, sad as it is http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/blacks...el%3as,1%3af,0

Re: Crashed 71 Nova-Pictures

I am soooooooooo sorry to have seen those pics. I had a 15 y/o gal destroy my 76 nova w/ a full sized van. I had almost completely forgotten about it. ( It was in 1984) Bro, I hope you are in good shape after that crash. Unfortunately it looks like the car took the brunt of the force.
By the way... what type of windows did you have ? crank or electric? I am looking for electric set up for my 4 door.

Re: Crashed 71 Nova-Pictures

Hey there, sorry to see another nova off the road, especially since yours looked pretty damn nice. I am driving a 71 coupe (and pray it dosn't get wrecked, I love my car) I was wonderng if you were planning on keeping the engine and tranny or if you were selling those too. also is it a 350? I need a decent carb.
Also wondering the condition of the back window.
the last thing I wanted to know about was the wiring harness. when I got mine it was so screwed up, it took me weeks to even botch it back together.
sorry for your loss - zach

Re: Crashed 71 Nova-Pictures

I'm keeping the trans and engine, hopefully for my next build. The back window is in great shape. The wiring harness has somewhat been frayed and destroyed by the crash, at least the part in the engine compartment anyway.

Re: Crashed 71 Nova-Pictures

don't blame you, the engine looked to be in decent shape from the pics. What was the tranny, manual or automatic? I changed over to a manual in my 71 and it turned out to be more of a proces than I had thought. Tranny was rare, so link, ages were hard to find - I had to make them

Ill be good without the back window, I don't think shipping just the window would be worth it.

Any idea what you are building next?

sorry again for the Nova, and good luck with the next build - zach

Re: Crashed 71 Nova-Pictures

Sorry bout your nova man, I'd cry if mine got totaled like that. First thing I'd do if someone hit me, would be grab my baseball bat and beat the shit out of the remaining parts of their car. LOL

Peace
