I've used carfax twice. Just out of curiousity to see where some of my old cars have ended up since i have sold them.
Other than that I don't think carfax is all it is cracked up to be. 2 of my cars were totaled and nothing was mentioned about that on the reports after over a year of time had elapsed. I would not depend on it for vital info on a car you are about to buy.
