Progress - Tamiya Ligier JS-11 (lot's off pics,56K WARNING)
Ligier JS-11/J.Laffite Argentine GP 1979 1:20 Tamiya ![]() ![]() New rear wing, I did not really like the original which also had wrong shape in the back. Not complete yet as I have not yet decided about the final shape. Although Tamiya’s kits are not bad, some parts are unfortunately a bit too simplified, brakes is a major example. It’s one piece in the kit (you can see it on the last pic with parts not used), so I had to make a new one.Originally I only wanted to make the brake, but during the work I decided to scratch build complete rear suspension, inluding the oil radiator. First prototype of new rear suspension upper arm. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Fit testing of new rear wing and ait intake. ![]() In the bottom of the photo you can see unused original parts from the kit. ![]() Renault RS-01 March 711 Ferrari 126 CK Mclaren Mp-4/2c Paddock |

Excellent work as always Aress. What did you use for the intake stacks? Also do you have any reference pics you would like to share. I have a 1/12 scale build of this car on the go and would love some detail shots. Thanks.
