Reason I've been away for a while..

I haven't posted any kill stories in a while.. I've decided to de-mote my GT-S to daily driver only.. I'm finished modding it. I am however going to hit the dyno so I can get my 13sec slip.. but then I'm done lol. I am now working on my new project... so the gt-s is now the non-racing daily driver lol.

A couple weeks ago I drove to arkansas to pick up my new toy. A 1992 Celica turbo All-trac.

Everything is in great shape except for the engine.. when I bought it I was told that it had blown a head gasket and the head was probably cracked/warped. So I knew I had my work cut out for me. Here's what it looked like when we pulled the head off:

Hmmm.. so I had some extra cash so I decided to have a little fun. Time for more toys. I picked up a rebuilt head with 0 miles. I also picked up a built 3S-GTE shortblock with forged internals.. also 0 miles. It is bored .040 over and cross-hatched, weisco pistons dished - 6cc 9:1 compression, Eagle H-beam rods, King bearings (main, rod, and thrust), Machined and polished crankshaft.

I still haven't decided on what turbo to go with.. it's going to be a big one as I'm looking to push around 500hp. Right now we have the engine and tranny dropped out so it's just sitting there with an empty engine bay. I have a lot of other little things to replace that were rusted.. like coolant lines etc. I'll update when the project gets moving more .

That's going to be a total sleeper. Why don't you go with a T78 turbo?

Good to see that the new motor is much better looking than the last one. Can't wait to see it on the road.
