Transmission linkage

I have a 1970 nova that I am restoring and I am having a hard time finding the original linkage. The car once had in it, a straight six with 250 powerglide. The car now has in it Th350 with 350 crate motor. The question I have is where can i find the linkage that I am missing. I want to keep the column shifter and not convert to a floor shifter. Does anyone out there know where i could purchase the equipment I am looking for?

Hey, I had a 305 with a turbo 350 converted from a straight six/powerglide. All you really need a rod with two pegs sticking out at both ends perpendicularly in the same direction kinda shaped like this: l_____l . One end to reach the trans linkage, and the other to reach the steering column linkage, the reach isn't that far, I myself made one by welding two parts together. I'm also selling parts of my nova, so if you really can't find one I can give you mine for a cheap cheap price.

That would be great. With the fabricated linkage that you have does the needle still line up on the dash? Except for the one extra gear i think th350's have. I have headers on the engine as well is that going to be a problem with the fabricated linkage you have? What else might you have for parts. Are you selling the car as one and is there spare parts?

Hey, here the bar I used to connect my trans to my shift linkage. Like I said it has two pegs pointing the same way so it can fit thru the trans linkage and the shift linkage. I also had headers and you might have to move the adjuster farther down, this probably will be a tight squeeze next to your headers, but I never had any problems. The holes in both the pegs are for cauter pins to hold it in so it doesn't fall out. For the most part my shift needle did line up with most of the dash letter, except of course now instead of 2 forward gears you have 3, so it will be a little off, it'll take some getting used to but you'll get a feel for it.
