Rear Spring Over

Am I correct in thinking that the Frontier is sprung over? It seems to me that if a Frontier rear axle and other stuff (Brake Lines, etc.) could be picked up at a junk yard (at a good price obviously), then the Xterra could be sprung over and the load leaf removed. Assuming that they are geared the same (they should), this would be a good way to bring the rear up, and give it a lot more articluation.
With a 3" IFS lift, it should make the stance pretty decent. These are all assumptions, but I am used to finding out my own stuff and making it work. I am new to Nissans, as I have only owned Toyota P/Us and Cruisers.
So far I have not been let down by my Xterra. Every time I take it off road I want to test its limits, and every time I come home smiling.

You're looking at 6" or more of lift from an SOA in the rear. You can't exactly return to any semblance of a "normal" stance with a 3" IFS lift at the other end.

Ahhhh. Good point. I just looked under the truck last night. Oh well...:bathroom: one more idea down the toilet.
