Engine Compatability (96)

My son forgot to check the oil, needless to sy he has a rod knock. He has a 96 SL2 Twin Cam. I can find a lot of 95 twin cams but nothing for a 96-97. Will a 95 Twin Cam work in a 96? From researching the 96 has OBD II and the 95 has OBD I. I'll just be swaping over the long block.

Re: Engine Compatability (96)

95 will work no problem. the 95 will have a extra sensor in the head, just leave it unpluged.
