ses light on

we have a 2000 olds intrigue, with about 130,000 miles on it.
the SES light has been on for a long time. We have replaced the gas cap, unhooked the battery to try and reset the switch. That didn't work. The error codes we got from Auto Zone are:
P0440
P0449
any help will be greatly appreciated!

You can always just do a search for "PO440" at this forum also.

if i'm not mistaken, 440 is an evap code. check the charcoal canister
