Question A jeep on 22's

A friend and I were having a discussion and we were wondering. Can you put 22 inch wheels on a jeep wrangler. Whether you would want to or not is a totaly different question. But can you? Do you need a lift kit? Does anyone have pictures of this somewhere. I have 50 bucks on it so any help would be appriciated.

Re: A jeep on 22's

I guess it could be possible, although I'm sure it will cost you a big chunk of cash for custom wheels and a lack of respect from nearly all jeep owners.
Figure a a 22" rim + tire = approx. 32-33" overall diameter, the same as your typical off-road tire upgrade. Since you won't be concerned much about off-road flex you can probably get away with a 2" lift. Thankfully I haven't seen any pictures of this setup.

Re: A jeep on 22's

I had to come back for a second look! The tires look like shit but I have to give the guy credit for everything else he put in the Jeep. There is ALOT of upgrades and I'm sure its badass but why the hell did he put the wheels he did on it??? 40x16 or 15 would have looked good!!!

Re: A jeep on 22's

I wasn't putting your Jeep down, just the rims. I'm sure it kicks ass. I don't think it looks right and that's just my opinion. By looking at it just in the pictures alone you can tell you have put allot into not to mention what you cant see!!
