Question P1391 and P1392 CEL

I am getting codes P1391 and P1392 on a 1996 Rodeo 3.2L V6 w/ automatic transmission. I read it pertains to the "G" sensor voltage and has something to do with crank position. Can anyone please give me info on how to trouble shoot and/or replace?

Thank You,
PC from RI

Re: P1391 and P1392 CEL

I believe the G sensor was put into place on some earlier models to 'disregard' rough road, off road induced misfiring. Basically if the truck is bouncing all over the place, the computer system will ignore a misfire. Misfiring normally is detected by the crank position sensor (CPS detects the 'blips' in crank rotation caused my misfire), so these two sensors work kind of hand in hand. The CPS is usually around the crank pulley/harmonic balancer, dunno where the G sensor is. Helms manual would be the palce to go.

G/luck
