Stalling...CEL
I'm original owner of a 2001 V6 Rodeo 94K miles...For the past year it has occasionally stalled after starting. Now it stalls at intersections, etc., or when I idle at low rpms. The engine is also making a noise which sounds to me like a squealing sound, but I can't tell if it's a belt of just air leak/discharge...The CEL has also been coming on (flashing sometimes, sometimes just constant, sometimes not at all)...Any ideas? I took it to the dealership about a month ago (before the CEL light came on) and they replaced the serpentine belt (which they said was the squealing sound, but it was still there after)
 . I thought it might be the IMG? I also wanted to know if the IMG replacement is covered under the powertrain warrenty (10 year/120K)??Thanks in advance for any help!

Go to autozone and get the CEL codes read.

classic case of the IMG..rough-erratic- low idle, stalling, CEL. the sound may be a high pitched sucking.
i'm betting it's the IMG

Yes it is covered by the 120k/10yr.
Once you have the codes from autozone, I would just discribe it to the Isuzu dealer and then schedule an appointment (make sure they know this is a warranty issue too).

OK, I went to Autozone and they pulled the codes
P0170 (Bank 1-2) P0171 (Bank 1-2) P0300 Sorry if the nomenclature is off, I wrote the codes down on a piece of paper and then lost it within 5 mintues! Smart...  Anyway, took it to the dealer, they agreed it probably was the IMG (although no explanation on why the changed the serpentine belt last time!)..the IMG will be fixed tomorrow... According to the dealer it is covered under the powertrain warranty (that's very cool, I'm back to loving my Rodeo!)
