crappy air cleaner boxes
okay so onmy 93 aerostar i have been able to open the aircleaner box for the last year i just sort of pryed it opend and changed the filterat the junk yard the other day i picked up a compelete aircleaner box for 20 buxs got mine out and found out that ford used push in nuts. that are easy to cross thread the box i got only one of the push in nuts was useable so on the other side i justed use a normal nut. found out that that this is just a crap desiogn anyone else have any trouble with this also? the bigest problems is when they even start to across thread the thread like normal then hit the bottom of the nut the push right out and strip the hole they push into

Close it with zip ties. How often do you really have to look in there. Every couple of months?? Not a big deal just a pain. Ya it happened to me
