Which is the best deal for a miata?

Miata one

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...=en&cardist=12

miata 2

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...=en&cardist=49

miata 3

http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?ca...=en&cardist=35

anyway i told my mom about the first and she said thats good, and we can do payments of 250, which i can afford, and ya she was like OOO COOOL when i said it was a convertable, anyways which of those is the best deal?

anyways heres the first one that i told my mom about

http://www.topqualitymotors.com/Page...miatablack.htm

looks like it would be fun, i dont really want a convertable though, btw could i just buy a hard top and stick it on there? are convertables a hassle in the rain/snow?

I think there all too expensive. You could find a 94-97 miata below the $5000 range. I have a 94 that i picked up for $2600 Exellent condition.

I was looking into miatas, but they're all pretty expensive for the newer ones.

Re: Which is the best deal for a miata?

i'd stay away from the '97 cuz its got high mileage for the price. the '96 is cool cuz its a semi rare color and its got pretty low mileage for its age, but the price is stil pretty high for a '96. i personally would go with the '99 because its got pretty low mileage and, well because its a 2nd gen. 2nd gens have better steering geometry and they look better (in my opinion). 1st gens are cheaper though and they are a little bit lighter. it really all comes down to what you want i paid $11,500 for a '99 10th anny edition because i wanted it. if its an option, you should go test drive them and see which one you like the best. good luck.

Re: Which is the best deal for a miata?

www.miata.net has tons of good info. read the buyer's guide. i read it at least 5 times, printed it out and took it with me to the test drives.

now i have a '92 i paid exactly $3000 for including tax, dealer fees, and new tires.

stay away from the 90 and 91 models because the motor will fall apart on you. 2nd gens aren't as lively or rev-happy as the 1.6's but theyre just as much fun.

Re: Which is the best deal for a miata?

I picked up a 91 4 years ago with minor body damage for 600. and another for 300. swapped a front bumper, the two front fenders, hood, and radiator and hasn't givin me any problems since. the 91's have great motors
