will whe chevelle ever rise again?
i have one burning question... with retro muscle coming back... will chevy make a chevelle again? im all for the pony "kid gloves" like with the reintroduction of the camaro. but the malibu (the one surviving version of chevelle) has been cast as a sedan now and has gone terribly wrong. i hope chevy will bring back the chevelle. and i hope it wont look like the charger. dodge blastphemized it with the 4 doors... no matter the power (not to mention the solely auto trans) but imagine how cool a modern 68-69 chevelle revamp would look. or an el comino. the 454 might live on in the ss trucks but it need to be put back where its soal is. even a reintroduction of nova would be cool. i mean it was like chevelle's kid brother. or a vega too. some years of vegas looked like mini camaro's and ild like to own a small small 4 banger with looks like that. just as long as it lives up to what the past had. like the mustang. when it hit 05 it was like 40 years ago ( < not look) but in style, nothing out there looked so dramatic as the 65 mustang, it was a break away from ordinary.

Re: will whe chevelle ever rise again?
true but they could concept it out as far as they can go, and have the people decide what would stay true. and if nothing else we could get a kick ass concept out... or ideas for a new retro designed car < not from chevy history... but new

Re: will whe chevelle ever rise again?
If they did something like Chrysler is doing with the Charger and the Challanger, then I say go for it. The Camero concept is very interesting, even though I think it breaks very little ground.
It almost hurts to look at the current Malibu. Hurts even more to drive one. It isn't a bad car, but its just a car -- not a Malibu. |
