WIP: 427 Cobra local Street car.

Again, I have gotten back on this build. If you all remember, I am building this for a co-worker who has a frriend that owns this car below.



I stole the wheels and tires from the Saleen mustang Speedster kit I have started. ( mty Co-worker is replacing the kit, buying me lunch, AND paying me to build this!!) The car was painted with Basecoat Home depot orange and overcoated with pearl, then clear. The stripes are also painted.




I also stole the seats from the saleen speedster for the black flocked interior. The car I am replicating has miata seats!!I also added lap belts from black craft ribbon and PE buckles from Detailmaster.




The side pipes were stripped of chrome, assembled and seams sanded away. They were then alcladded chrome.



Fram and engine were also assembled. The only detail added to the engine is plug wires.




I should be wrapping this build up in a few days......

Looks great so far!! What is home depot orange? That a model master paint? From the nascar series? I didn't know they still sold that line of paint. Keep up the awsome progress!

Thanks everyone... I made HUGE progress last night.... But, the stance was not easy to get.. since I used different wheels and tires a lowering job was in order so it did not look like a hunched over beetle!!!
Tonight I should be able to button it up.
