I need help. I'm looking for a BMW to race in SCCA events. I'd like a convertible, an inline six, and something for under $10,000. The further under that amount the better. I've done a little research and it looks like an e30 would be my best bet. Am I on the right track?
Thanks
Mike

PS - Any suggestions as to another way to go are greatly appreciated.

and my heart isn't set on a convertible, especially if it will be significantly slower and therefor heavier than a coupe.

OK then. I am a member and there are a few for sale in the Roundel magazine. I will take a look and pass the info on to you.

Do you have a regular email address and how far are you willing to travel? This info will alow me to focus on the spefics, also I can take digital shots of the info and send to you. Each shot should be about 120k, very small. Will this help.

Let me know
Andre

I'd appreciate it more than you know. You can reach me at [email protected]

Obviously the closer the better, but a friend of mine has a brother that owns a truck and can ship stuff x-country for me so I can go pretty far.

Thanks
Mike

yes..e30s are sweet ass. the 325 convertible is a bit heaver and slower than 325i coupe, but you could pick a early 90's one up for under 10000 easily. My friend got a coupe for 5500 with 140,000 miles on it for 5500. the more miles the car has, the cheaper it will be obviously.

by the way....for just over 10000 dollars, you could buy an e30 M3...the perfect car for SCCA events
