cheap engine?

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about engines I could pick up pretty cheap like people swapping out old ones for new ones for an '82 honda civic? I'm getting the body and ecerything real cheap and thought it would be classic to beat the crap out of most people with it? any thoughts thanks

I think the 82 civic doesn't fit any b series engines.
Try to find a 88-91 civic hatch and swap a b16a in it.

Talking Yeah, my thoughts exactly

When ever doing an engine swap perticualr when itcomes to a japanese car try to get something mid to late 80's. Simply cause there is usually more avalible for such a year model car. That and since you gonna half to swap a newer engine in an older car anyway. You midust well have a newer car to begin with.
