Re: 3rd Gen gas mileage?

I have a 1991 Camaro RS with a 305 TBI engine, and the EPA estimates for this vehicle are 26 highway, and about 17 or 18 city. Estimated combined mileage is 10 mpg.

Re: 3rd Gen gas mileage?

i drive to school 50 miles and back.. from LA to Long Beach when i go to school.. but i go 3x a week rather than every day.. surprisingly.. my 350 gets real good mileage since theyre all freeway miles. I fill up monday and i usually still have gas for like saturday.

Re: 3rd Gen gas mileage?

all depends on how your motor is running and if everything is in proper order. A vacuum leak in these cars can be detrimental to mileage. Even if the motor runs fine any of the sensors could be going wacky and not show any signs except for poor mileage. Dirty injectors will to it too. I get 20+ somthing highway with my 350 tpi.

Re: 3rd Gen gas mileage?

Also consider that you are asking a bunch of guys (and the few gals) who have camaro's because they like to go fast and push the pedal down what they get for gas mileage.....you wont get very accurate answers.....

Re: 3rd Gen gas mileage?

actually i've been doin alot of thinkin on this too..i'm shooting for consistent 20 MPG in my Z. Its got the 305 Lg4, not the 350 my sig says. im trying to build it to the point where its as powerful as its gonna be without the MPG dropping..know what i mean?
