Question about wheels

Hi guys, I got another question!

I am looking to buy some new wheels for my kits, because I saw a lot of kits with aftermarkets wheels and they all look great.

Where I live, the only thing I can get is 2-3 sets of Hoppin Hydros Wheels for 19.99$ Can. Is it expensive? Those wheels are easy to fit with revell, tamiya and fujimi kits or do I need lots of modification?

Do Aoshima and Pegasus wheels are easy to fit?

I also want to know how much I should pay for those wheels? The best price I saw for Aoshima's wheels is 15$ Can for a set. But for Pegasus and Hoppin Hydros I didn't find a good site to order them, I only find them on Ebay and they are 13-14$ Can. Someone can tell me where I can get those wheels?

Also, is there other brands of wheels I can get? I know that there is some Fujimi's wheels, but they are kinda small. I am looking especially for big rims 18s or 19s.

Last question, when I look at Hoppin Hydros wheels, there is a lot of 20s, 23s and 24s, is it looking good on a normal car or is it really too big?

Thanks a lot!

Look Noob! SEARCH!! But I'll help ya anyway. Aoshima and Fujimi rims can be found on the overseas sites like www.hlj.com . They CAN fit whatever you want. The Peg/HH rims, you can make fit whatever you want also. Them looking good on them is up to your opinion. Lownlow seems to like huge rims on pretty much all cars, weather they fit, or look good. It doesn't matter though, because he thinks they look ok. Good luck.

Look on www.scalewiki.com

Or if you are too lazy: Where can I buy model cars online?

Re: Question about wheels

Thanks for your help, I already take a look at scalewiki before posting, but my main question was, what is the place with the lowest price, or what range of price can be considered as good? Is it too expensive to pay 20$ for Hoppin Hydros wheels or is there a website a can get them for 10$?

Re: Question about wheels

Visiting online stores is the only way to find the cheapest price, for some reason wheel prices vary by store and it's not like one store is consistently more expensive.

We can't answer every question because some things are a greater variable, like prices on the web.

Re: Question about wheels

What are the wheels worth to you? I wouldn't pay a lot for Pegasus rims, because I don't like them. And they're easy to find. However, I'd pay a pretty penny for a set of 1:24 Mugen RNR's. So you tell us if you think it's a good price.

If you're more worried about it being a fair market price, check online stores (be sure to consider shipping) and eBay to find what they go for elsewhere.

This changes month to month, so there's no way we can tell you.
