Modified footrests, covered with CF from heller backseat decal;

That central console looks amazing, and how did you modify the clutch pedal to look like that?

Re: AF newbie first WIP: Peugeot 307 WRC 2005

Thank you guys,

Switches are made with electrical wires cut very short and glued on the decal... what was not easy, but it's done !
clutch new pedal is made with a part of the heller one, cut and glued in place of original tamiya part, cut off of the footrest.

Here are some other pics:

And one pic about other CF covered parts:

Thanks again for your comments

Welcome Patrick. The 307 is one if the kits of the moment and you are doing a bang up job on the details. I look forward to seeing more of it come together.

Sorry pic isn't very good...

that's all for today !
Comments welcome

Re: AF newbie first WIP: Peugeot 307 WRC 2005

That stuff looks fantastic. The clutch pedal shouldn't be TOO hard to fix for most of us, but that CF work and the consoles will probably give guys like me fits LOL

And yes, wheel gun is the correct term.

Re: AF newbie first WIP: Peugeot 307 WRC 2005

Hello,
here is a new update !

Inside begins to look like what it should:

carbon covered parts take place in the chassis

on this pic you can appreciate the onbaord telephon, scratch build in modelling paste and decorated as the real one !
some wires have been added to the panel behind the central dashboard;
the right footrest beside the pedals has been scratched built and added, too.

and finally I painted the body; you can notice that with my painting process I don't need any clear coating !

Pe grids have been placed in the hood and painted. Nice parts these Tamiya PE parts.

Next update probably other wiring work on the inside...

Bye

Re: AF newbie first WIP: Peugeot 307 WRC 2005

So share a little, what is your painting process?

Looking real good. I saw this kit in my LHS yesterday, but they wanted $45 for it, and the PE was another $15, so I passed.

Hello all,

Oh yes, of course !
But there is nothing really special, and i guess that most of people here know the trick...
- I warm up the can before painting, and I sand each coat before puting the next.
- when I need primer I use only Citadel one, thinner than tamiya primer; after a small coat of it, I put polyurethan primer, whiter than any other one, especially on resin or metal body.
that's it !

Well, and now the new update !

start of wiring work:
(appreciate the look on the onboard telephon !)

modifying the centarl part of the rollbar:

work on body goes on ih the same time:
- paint of black lines on doors and windows panels

- rear lightpods

that's all for today, comments welcome !
