Misfire #6 odd
I changed plugs and wires dec 04 and a couple months later I was getting a misfire in #6 i took out the plug and the end where the little metal cap screws on was bent. So i changed the plug and it worked fine. Now I am having the same problem misfire in #6 I havent taken the plug out yet. (im waiting for the engine to cool down) I was wondering what might cause this. The is the plug that is in front of the o2 sensor. Anyone eles see this before?

Re: Misfire #6 odd
The plugs are NGK TR6's I think that mabey I bent the plug last time when I was taking it out, beacause I snapped the plug in half this time. Last time replacing the plug seemed to help. I put the stock plug in for now. Any Idea why this could be happening?

Re: Misfire #6 odd
See if you have good spark to # 6, if so pull the plug and look at it, this is basic diagnostics.

Man.....don't forget the ol injector....just had the same problem myself. Also.....you might consider moving your coil packs around see if the problem jumps to a new cylinder

Re: Misfire #6 odd
If the plugs you are installing have the caps that unscrew, you need to tighten those caps so they can't vibrate loose. If you don't, you'll be chasing misfires from now until eternity. Plug 6 is in the rear, where the oxygen sensor is in the way when installing (if a GTP is like a GT). You need to be careful tightening that plug, or you can catch the tip and bend it so the wire doesn't make a good connection. I used a flex extension that will give you just enough clearance without flopping all around like u-joints do.
