98 voyager elec problem
Alright here is what happened. I took out the factory head unit. I snapped in the wiring harness to connect it to the new radio. I wired the proper wires together. It didn't work. I checked all of the fuses including the ones in the unit. They are fine. I've done a lot of installs and never had this happen, So i put the old unit back in to see if that would still work. It doesn't. now here is where it gets a little wierd. When I turn the vehicle off, the power locks don't work and neither do the interior lights. When the vehicle is on, everything works just fine.
*edit* I read in the owners manual that there is an internal fuse that controls these things and if it needs to be reset I should go to a shop. Is there any way I can just reset it? Or isn't that the problem because those things work when the car is on? Any help would be wonderful. Last edited by SupermanCC03; 01-22-2006 at 11:36 AM. |

Re: 98 voyager elec problem
Did you check all the fuses under the hood , in particular the IOD fuse . Pull this fuse and check and then reinsert it , this will reset the BCM which controls the locks and the interior lights . Let us know how you make out ...

Re: 98 voyager elec problem
There is no fuse labeled IOD.....
I thought about that but I couldn't find that one. Well not one specifically labeled IOD. |
