Talking Best Book Ever

I find it a shame that many people do not read anymore. I just finished reading Ender's Game for the 15 millionth time and it's just as good as when I read it in Middle School. Personally it's my favorite book.

Anyone here read? Got a book you love?

Re: Best Book Ever

Im slowly building up the whole enders collection, but Im buying it all second hand so its proving difficult.
Its also hard find the ones I have amongst the several hundred other books on my book shelves.

Re: Best Book Ever

I've read (and own) all of the Ender's Series and the Bean Series that followed.

I'm reading a collection of novels now called "Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin. Just finished the second book, "A Clash of Kings", the other night so I started reading Ender's Game to pass the time until the third book arrives at my doorstep as an early birthday gift to myself.

Im half way through the 3rd book, but it fell to bits.
Be warned, its a bit slow in places, much slower than the 2nd one.
My g/f has just read the 4th book, and is waiting on the 5th.
Both her, and someone else who have read it said its VERY SLOW and boring.
Just to let you know what your in for
Fortunatly the 5th book sounds much better.

Re: Best Book Ever

Favorite would have to be Weis & Hickman, close second Raymond E. Feist, then Koontz, and King.

Re: Best Book Ever

"War and Peace" anyone? "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" was good. "Waiting for Gadot" was hilarious although it's a play actually. Too many to list...
