DANA 60 3rd members
I have a DANA 60 TRAC LOC. It is similar to a DANA 60 POWER LOC. The difference as I understand it is that the power loc clutch disc have 4 tangs and the trac loc clutch has two tangs. Trac loc differentials came on the scene about 1970.
Now for the question; The trac loc that I have is a 28 spline unit. Can 1.5" 35 spline side gears be used to replace the 28 spline gears? Can that be done by just replacing the side gears or is there more to it than that? Are power loc side gears and trac loc side gears interchangeable?
