VW Sand Rail

Hi Everyone
I am new and have been popping in every now and then and checking out the models you've built. I am very impressed !
I travel lots and get a limited amount of time to build and even less in the summer but like to sit down every once in a while.
I mostly like building Racing type kits (anything to do with racing and I mean anything)Also Muscle cars etc .
I just finished a scratch build Sand Rail . I have one in real life and could not find a kit so I made one from scratch. I some day will take some better pictures but this is what I have right now of it.
I also have on the go a Chevelle and the Harley Davidson Ford truck with trailer on the go.
This weekend I went a little crazy and bought 3 VW Kits Two racing boat kits, one with truck and trailer. My prised possession would have to be the 5 CAR kits made from Accurate Miniatures (Is no longer) Three Can AM cars and two Corvette Grand Sport kits. The detail is unbelievable!!! All are un-built but will be built some day! I'm not a collector! I am a builder!!
Hope the picture works. It wouldn't on Preview???

Welcome!!!!Sounds like you got quite a collection! Yeah, I can't ever seem to find enough time for modelling, but take your time.

About the picture, it's not showing up. It can't be bigger than 100kb I believe. Try this page http://www.automotiveforums.com/upload upload the image file here, then put the link in your post.

Hey Turbo
Thanks for the help I edited the post and it looks like it is working now!
I hear ya when you say take your time. I will sometimes try to sit down and go at it but if I'm not in the mood I say it can wait another day! I've wrecked too many kits being in a hurry or being not it the mood. I am so into the model building lately. I'm not as good as probably most of you guys...............and gals but every kit I do I get better and better. So long as that keeps happening I will continue to build! I'm 34 right now and am just really getting back into it. after a very long absence!
Here is another I finished recently.

That's the spirit! Everyone here always practice and practice. With each model complete, our skills goes up. Age is not the deciding factor, as long as you enjoy what you are doing, it doesn't matter how old you are. Your models are pretty well done! Here, we love photos, so stick around and join the fun!

Is that you in that flying buggy? Must take a lot nerve to put that stunt!
