No spark....plz help

I have owned my 1995 Talon TSI FWD for about half a year. Still pretty new to these DSM cars. The problem im having is.......I just put a set of NGK 6 plugs in and drove for about 5 miles and the car died. Tried to start it and found out i had absolutely no spark at all. I did some tests and found out my ignition transistor was bad. I replaced that and i got spark at the 1 and 4 cylinder plugs. I switched out the cylinder 2 and 3 coil pack and now i have spark at cylinders 2 and 3 but now i have no spark at cylinders 1 and 4. Is this just a coincidence or is there something a little more complicated going on? Has any one had this happen to them? Oh and this has all happened in a matter of two days. All the relays and fuses are good and im getting 25 psi of fuel also. The motor pulleys spin but it does not sound like its turning over except for the huge back fire every once in a while. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: No spark....plz help

OK. First off make sure that the plugs are gapped correctly. I would think that this is definitly the culprit, especially if you switched it from cylinders 1/4to 2/3 and they worked, respectively.

Check the coil pack as well.

Keep us updated...Good luck

Re: No spark....plz help

Maybe those 2 pronged spark plugs require more power, and the plug wires and/or coil pack can not handle the extra power that the plugs need therefore blowing out the other pieces. Sort of the way a fuse works....in a sense.

Stick to the regular old single pronged sparkplugs...do not get bosche, I remeber reading that they may have a flaw and break inside the head! Try out the NGK's

Re: No spark....plz help

Yea dude no problem. Just ask the guy at the autostore to look up the kind of sparkplugs you need for your eclipse/talon. He will pull up the right plug for you...REMEMBER to gap them correctly!! LOL....Good luck!
