Re: aftermarket radios

Does the 96 have the weirdo oval radio/climate control faceplate? I thought that came in 97. If so...google Escort radio dash installation kit.

If your radio is separate, it is a single DIN...~ 2" x 7". I put a used Pioneer in my 93. Pioneer came with a cage, wiring harness but no trim ring/bezel. I made one out of the old radio faceplate with a dremel tool by cutting the central part out and leaving a trim ring.

Re: aftermarket radios

see my how to at the bottom of this then. And you buy the connectors at walmart like someone else said. you will need a faceplate that best buy carries and most other car installation places have on hand. The highest price I seen was 50.00 ( i havent seen them at walmart).
