I need some info. Im getting my 85 chevy caprice classic lowered by heating up the springs, does anyone know how many inches I should drop, what size of wheels I will need to get after I do the lowering, what do you all think about a lowrider caprice

AAcckk!! No don't do that. That is quite possibly the stupidest way to lower your car that there is.
Go to a ImpalaSS website and find someone who is selling there stock springs and buy them. You should be able to get the complete set for no more than $100. It will drop the car a couple of inches and you will be much better off.

why is it stupid? I dont doubt you but just wondering. if i got those springs would you be able to tell if the car has been lowered.

Heating the springs will ruin the tempering that is built into them. It will weaken them. Do you really want to save $50-$100 and risk your springs BREAKING while you are driving the car?
Yes it will lower the car. Picture the difference between a 94-96ImpSS and a standard Caprice. That's the difference you will see.
